Silkwood

The movie Silkwood details the experiences of Karen Silkwood while working at Kerr-McGee, a plutonium processing plant. While noticing blatant violations in safety protocol and the falsifying of documents, Silkwood decided to do something about it. As a result she was purposefully contaminated and possibly murdered before she could provide the evidence of the safety violations. Instead of quitting her job or keeping quiet to keep her job, she stood up in order to pursue justice. Her actions show her admirable behavior while the movie itself shows the lack of knowledge about contamination in chemical plants at the time.
